You need to deposit only the minimum amount of equity for whatever futures contracts your are trading required by the Futures Exchanges.
No minimum account size allows equity to be used in other areas of your financial plans.
In addition if you only buy options then the only equity which is required by GLTC, is the cost of the option plus the transaction charges and fees.
Interest bearing accounts can be opened by purchasing, 3, 6 and 12 month treasury bills.
GLTC suggests that an appropriate amount of equity be deposited so that you can fully exercise your trading plan.
